About me
The Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) represents Region X in the Philippines’ national school-based athletic competitions. It includes the provinces of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental, along with key cities like Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, and Malaybalay. NMRAA is under the Department of Education (DepEd) Region X and is known as the home of the "Tangerine Volts."
NMRAA actively participates in the Palarong Pambansa, a prestigious annual sporting event featuring top student-athletes from across the country. In the 2023 Palarong Pambansa, NMRAA excelled in boxing, securing two gold medals. The 2025 NMRAA Meet, also known as Palarong Pampook, will be hosted by Misamis Occidental and will serve as a regional qualifier for Palarong Pambansa.
To prepare its athletes, NMRAA conducts rigorous training programs. In February 2025, a provincial in-house training was organized for athletes and medical responders, ensuring their readiness for upcoming competitions.
NMRAA plays a crucial role in promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and excellence among young athletes in Northern Mindanao. For the latest updates on NMRAA events and activities, visit their official Facebook page: NMRAA Region X.
