RULES

Genus, species always, always in italics or underlined.
Family and above never italics or underlined
All categories start with capital letters, including Genus, except for species and subspecies
Species and subspecies never capitalized
Scientific names are granted through formal publication process--rules differ for plants, animals, microbes

Phyogenies should represent the nested order of the taxonomic classification.

Phylogenies can be made for any level in the taxonomic hierarchy.
