Zonanime Privacy Policy

Zonanime is an app for discovering and keeping track of anime and manga. This page explains what information the app handles, who else sees it, and what control you have.
THE SHORT VERSION
Your library lives on your own device. We do not run a server and we cannot see what you watch or read. The app talks to one outside service: AniList, for information about titles. There are no ads.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
- Your library: what you are watching or reading, your progress, your ratings.
- Your settings, such as title language and appearance.
- Cover art and title information the app has downloaded, kept so it opens quickly and works offline.
None of this is sent to us. There is no Zonanime account and no Zonanime server.
ICLOUD
If iCloud sync is enabled, your library is copied to your own private iCloud database so it appears on your other devices. That copy belongs to your Apple account. Apple handles it under their own privacy policy, and neither we nor anyone else can read it.
ANILIST
Information about titles (descriptions, cover art, episode counts, airing dates) comes from AniList (https://anilist.co). When you browse or search, your device requests that information from them, which means AniList receives your IP address as part of any normal web request.
You can optionally sign in with an AniList account to sync the lists you already keep there. If you do, your progress and ratings are sent to AniList so the two stay in step. The sign-in token is stored only in your device's Keychain and is only ever sent to AniList. You can sign out at any time in Settings; your library stays on your device when you do.

PURCHASES
Zonanime Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details; the app only learns whether Pro is unlocked.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
- No ads and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics. The app does not report how you use it to anyone, including us.
- No crash reporting service.
- No selling or sharing of personal information with anyone beyond the services named above.
- No account with us, because there is nothing to have an account with.
CHILDREN
Zonanime is rated 13+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
YOUR RIGHTS
Because your library never reaches us, most requests are things you can act on directly: deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. For anything held by AniList, those requests go to them, under their own policy linked above.
CHANGES
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
