He is a retired Spanish teacher (at high school and college level) and high school administrator. He also worked several years as an interpreter-advocate for Hispanic senior citizens from all over the world. He has spent years being immersed in the language in a number of contexts including university classroom, Latin countries, living in the U.S. with people who did not speak Spanish, plus speaking only Spanish with his friends and loved ones. Having started from scratch when he was in 9th grade he knows what it takes for a native speaker of English to master Spanish and will do all he can to help his students progress.
It is held once per week at the Kent Senior Center in Kent, Washington. The class is free but requires registration. If you are unable to attend the class in person, this website will give you all the content that is covered in the class, plus plenty of practice and extra resources for anyone who is interested in learning Spanish and discovering elements of the cultures of the various Hispanic countries.
