These are pieces I have done in my own ceramics classes that I no longer have the room to store and I would love them to find a home that loves them as much as I! These pieces are ones that are a result of days and weeks on single projects!
These pieces are my absolute favorites that I have held onto and am very proud of. I do hope you can see both my creativity and skill on display!
Bubble Mug
This piece took about a week, only because the first attempt flew off the wheel by accident when the pedal flipped on before I was ready. Even still, this piece is gorgeous. Everything from the shape and skill it took to craft the shape of the piece to the glazework and the beautiful combinations of blues that made these jaw-dropping drizzles.
Holy Vase
The title of the piece itself is somewhat of a pun. It took about a week and was pretty challenging. I was trying a new shaping technique and glazing technique, both of which make this piece beautifully iconic. It has 2 holes on the sides to hold things like flowers! The hole in the middle is decorative but doubles as a handle. The Bible verse on the piece is one of my favorites, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." -Hebrews 13:8
Engagement Ring Holder
This piece was for my brother's fiance and turned out amazing. It took about 1 week to make. She loves it! She wanted a ring holder and didn't have one and I was quite happy to be the solution to that problem! I made this personalized ring holder and put the future Mr. and Mrs. Beck's names on the platter. The platter beneath was amazing to hold earrings and other jewelry, so it was perfect.
These pieces can be purchased! Prices are negotiable but there may be a bidding if more than one person wants a piece!
Chicken Fried Steak, Green Beans, and Potatoes
Price: $25.00 + Shipping Costs
This piece alone took around 2 weeks and was quite the challenge. This was made during my first year of classes and I was to make a 3 food platter in which all 3 foods were made using different methods (slab, coil, pinch). It turned out beautiful in my own opinion but this is more of a display piece that I no longer have room for.
Banana Phone
Price: $60.00 + Shipping Costs
This piece is amazing. A friend made a joke to make a banana, I do not take jokes lightly. I took it quite seriously and spent a week making this piece, using a real banana as a reference. I added dials and a speaker on the bottom and it was perfection. It fits perfect in the hand and is the perfect distance from mouth to ear. It became one of my favorite pieces due to how well it came out. In addition, this piece won an award at the Texas VASE art competition. It got a top score and medaled!!
