I am an interdisciplinary performance-based artist. I work with experimental approaches to devised and often non-human performance. I make performances as social practice. I dedicate my practice to cultivating empathy and community in the environments that I make and show work. I create work that disrupts conventions of the everyday as I believe doing so creates openings for audience and performers alike to empathize in new ways. Likewise, my process is heavily focused on questioning the surreality of my everyday experiences and utilizing its themes and objects as material for creative intervention. I use found objects and experiences like brushing my partner’s teeth or counting the time taking the Granville station escalator as my material.
