My vision for my life and artistry is to leave the world better than I found it, building community and inspiring creation along the way. Grounded in a deep connection to others and my passion for storytelling, I aim to make an impact through my relationships. I hope to cultivate a community around me that is mutually beneficial and inspires us all to create a better future while caring for each other.
I am drawn to work that centers the human experience. Our world is awakening to the incongruities between the systems that structure us and the realities of the human condition; I am inspired by work that explores that chasm and parses out what a future could look like beyond the now. Similarly, I find endless relevancy in the past and hope to breathe new life into old stories. There is a unity and reassurance that comes from how little we have fundamentally changed, I think—if we can bridge the gap between the present and our past, I believe we can bridge the gap between each other.
As an artist, I use my medium to challenge norms, uplift voices, and creatively problem solve. My work unravels the human experiences that connect us all and challenges my audiences to engage in new perspectives, ideas, and ways of being.
