Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)
I was a panelist at the APS Conferences for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics (CU*iP), hosted by the University of Colorado Boulder on Jan 24 - 26, 2025.
The goal of APS CU*iP is to help undergraduate women and gender minorities continue in physics by providing them with the opportunity to experience a professional conference, information about professions and graduate schools in physics, and access to peers and mentors in physics of all ages, with whom they can share experiences, advice, and ideas. The conference hosted 180 undergraduate physicists.
I was the programming officer of the Canadian Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CCUWiP), hosted by McGill University and Université de Montréal on Jan 19 - 21, 2024.
The CCUWiP, the only event of its kind in Canada, aims to promote diversity, raise awareness of the struggles women and minorities face in STEM, and create an environment where delegates can network, share their research, and feel supported.
We hosted over 130 delegates and over 25 speakers.
I actively volunteered for McGill Physics EDI. I worked as the Event Organizing and Social Media Assistant.
I was a student ambassador for the Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) Physics Research Awards. We fundraised over $4700.
