This Privacy Policy governs the data practices of the ZippyMap: Get Help Nearby mobile application ("App"), which is solely operated by Shibil (referred to herein as the "Developer").

1. Developer and Contact Information

The User agrees that the following party is responsible for the App's data handling:

2. Information the Developer Collects

The Developer collects personal information from Users (Normal Users) and Service Providers (Users who offer services) in the following categories:

A. Information Collected from All Users (Via Google Sign-In)

When you log in using Continue with Google, the Developer collects the following data from your Google Account:

• Full Name: Collected for user identification and personalization.

• Email Address: Collected for account management and communication.

B. Additional Information Collected from Service Providers Only

If a User registers as a Service Provider (and not just a Normal User), the Developer collects:

• Phone Number: Collected to allow Normal Users to contact the Service Provider directly via the App.

C. Location Data (Precise GPS Coordinates)

The Developer collects the precise geographical location (GPS and network-based) only under the following specific condition:

• Service Providers Only: Location data is collected only when a Service Provider actively enables the "Live Location" button within the App.

• Background Usage: If the Service Provider enables "Live Location," the App will continue to track and collect location data in the background even when the App is closed or not in use.

3. Purpose of Data Collection (How the Developer Uses the Information)

The Developer collects and uses User personal information for the following specific purposes:

• Account Authentication: To verify User identity and manage User or Service Provider accounts (using Google Auth).

• Core Service Functionality (ZippyMap):

  • Normal Users: To allow the Normal User to view the Service Provider's location when they are sharing it.

  • Service Providers: To share the Service Provider's current location with Normal Users who need nearby assistance, but only when the Service Provider has actively enabled this feature.

• Communication: To facilitate contact between Normal Users and Service Providers (using the Service Provider's Phone Number).

4. Third-Party Services and Data Handling

The Developer uses the following third-party services that process or store your data:

• Google Play Services: Used for core App functionality and services.

• Firebase Authentication (Google Auth): Used to manage user accounts by securely transmitting your Name and Email Address to Google for identity verification.

• Firebase Realtime Database / Firestore: Used for data storing. Your Name, Email Address, Phone Number (for Service Providers), and the Service Provider's Live Location data are stored securely on Google's Firebase servers.

• Analytics/Crash Reporting: The Developer is not actively collecting crash reports or general app usage analytics using Firebase or other third-party services.

5. Consent, Control, and Security

• Consent to Location: By enabling the "Live Location" feature, Service Providers give explicit consent for their precise location to be collected in the background and shared with other App Users.

• Control: Users may disable location tracking at any time by disabling the "Live Location" button within the App. Users can manage data associated with their Google Sign-In through their Google Account settings.

• Security and Retention: The Developer takes appropriate security measures to protect your information. Data is stored on secure Firebase (Google) servers, and the Developer retains the personal data you provide for as long as your App account is active.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

The Developer reserves the right to update this privacy policy at any time. When this happens, the Developer will post a notification in the App and/or update the date at the bottom of this page. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically.
