About Ziplet

The Pitch

Ziplet is a digital application that allows a classroom teacher to quickly develop, administer, assess, and collect meaningful data via small assessments often referred to as exit tickets.

Using Ziplet, a classroom teacher is able to get instant feedback from students about their understanding of a lesson, how they are feeling, and even field any additional questions a student might have.

In the fast paced world of education, Ziplet allows educators to keep with their students via a streamlined digital assessment process.

Development

Ziplet was founded in Melbourne, Australia in 2016.

The application was developed with the goal of providing teachers with the fastest access to student information in order to meet their growing needs.

Founder, Ben Barnett, noted the need for instantaneous feedback to assess how students were progressing. He noted how difficult it was for reguarly checking in with students and worried some students might "slip between the cracks" without an effective feedback tool.

Together with a team of ambitious individuals, they sought to develop a fast, user-friendly experience to listen to even the most quiet voice in the classroom.

Plan Offerings

Ziplet offers a variety of plan and payment options.

The most basic plan with no financial cost, allows for up to 2 teachers to collaborate across three different classrooms and allows for up to 150 students to join the classrooms created by the teachers. It provides access to a few pre-created assessment questions but it is does not allow for access to the full database of assessment questions. It does however allow for the creation of custom assessment questions.

The premium plan, charged monthly or annually, allows for unlimited students and classes and grants access to the full database of common assessment questions. Immensely useful for those that like to plan well in advance, is the premium package allows for the scheduling of repeatable assessment questions. This can be great for addressing social emotion concerns daily without having to continually update the assessment.

The school wide and district wide payment plans allow for premium features to be accessed by anyone in the respective areas.

Getting Started

Ziplet was designed with usability and ease-of-use at the forefront of development.

One of the underlying goals of the application was to fit seamlessly into classrooms without having to overcome a significant learning curve.

Ziplet provides video tutorials for getting started and advanced tutorials for those truly looking to leverage the program.
