Some treadmills do not have Bluetooth support and most fitness wearables are not very accurate in estimating running speed on a treadmill.
This app allows you to simply tap in your speed and cadence and have that sent to Zwift. The benefit is that you can use this with any treadmill and even other runners like an elliptical because your runner does not need to connect to your phone.
First, you will open this app on your phone. On a second device, open Zwift and tap on the Run sensor selection. Tap on Speed and look for your iphone's name. Once connected you are ready to run.
The app also offers a Quick Speed and Delay option. If you are doing sprints you may wish to go from 4mph to 6.5mph without tapping the plus button 25 times. The Delay option allows you to set a 5 second delay, for example, and the tap 6.5. This gives you 5 seconds to then tap the speed on your treadmill. Sometimes when running fast it's hard to use an iphone so the speed delay function can be helpful.
