A Montessori Preschool
Rethink Child-Centered Learning Environments With Integrated Displacement Ventilation System & Atrium Approach in Post Pandemic Era
-"A No Turning Back Design Journey"
Preschool design is an keep evolving design process. The COVID-19 pandemic has made designers to rethink how to leverage between children social and environment aspects of learning experience. Perhaps, the Montessori approach can provide some future insight where this educational pedagogy not only emphasize on the social aspects of children development, but also urge for a prepared and safe learning environment for children. As Children Conducive Learning Environment is getting important especially in the post pandemic era, the COVID-19 is not just a test of health systems, it influences the way children access education, and how safe they feel in schools and communities. Hence, the goal is to improve children learning environment by promoting a well ventilated learning place for children by Integrating Mixed-mode Ventilation as sustainable design with Children-Centred Learning Programme (Montessari Approach) in enchancing children learning experience. It is believed that efforts in creating an inclusive and holistic learning environment in such early educational stage will be a testament if our government concerns in nurturing a well-developed children of our nation in the future.
