Tech Burq ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Zikr Diary mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. This policy complies with the Google Play Store Developer Program Policies, Google Play Data Safety requirements, and applicable data protection laws.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the App.
We are committed to collecting only the minimum data necessary to provide and improve our services. The information we collect falls into the following categories:
The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party:
Your Zikr/Tasbeeh targets (selected Islamic phrases, target counts, target dates)
Your Zikr entries and progress data (achieved counts, timestamps, optional notes)
App preferences and settings (dark mode, haptic feedback, sound preferences, reminder settings)
Counter session data
This data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is not backed up to any cloud service by the App itself.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data to understand how users interact with the App and to improve the user experience. This includes:
App usage events (e.g., target creation, zikr entry addition, counter usage, settings changes)
Screen views and navigation patterns within the App
App open/close events and session duration
Device information (device model, operating system version, screen size)
App version and build information
Country/region (derived from IP address, but IP address itself is not stored)
Language preferences
Important: Firebase Analytics does NOT collect personally identifiable information (PII). All analytics data is aggregated and anonymized. No individual user can be identified from this data.
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic data to identify and fix bugs. This includes:
Crash logs and stack traces
Device state at the time of crash (memory usage, battery level, device orientation)
Device model and operating system version
App version and build number
Crashlytics installation UUID (a randomly generated identifier, not tied to your personal identity)
Note: Crashlytics data collection is disabled in debug/development builds and is only active in production releases of the App.
We want to be fully transparent about what we do NOT collect:
We do NOT collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal contact information
We do NOT collect your precise or approximate location data (GPS, Wi-Fi, or cell tower)
We do NOT collect photos, media, or files from your device
We do NOT collect your contacts, call logs, or SMS/MMS messages
We do NOT require or collect any login credentials or account information
We do NOT collect financial or payment information
We do NOT collect health, fitness, or biometric data
We do NOT record audio, video, or access your camera
We do NOT track your browsing history or activity outside the App
We do NOT use advertising IDs or serve any advertisements
The information collected is used solely for the following purposes:
To understand how users interact with the App and identify the most used features
To improve the App's user interface and overall user experience
To identify usage trends and patterns that inform product development decisions
To measure the effectiveness and adoption of new features
To understand user demographics at an aggregate level (e.g., which countries use the App most)
To identify, diagnose, and fix software bugs, crashes, and errors
To improve App stability, performance, and reliability
To prioritize bug fixes based on the number of affected users and severity
To monitor the health of new releases and updates
We do NOT use your data for:
Advertising or marketing to third parties
User profiling or behavioral targeting
Selling to data brokers or any other third party
Any purpose unrelated to improving the Zikr Diary App

We may disclose your information only if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order, subpoena, or government agency request). We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users where legally permitted.

We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following measures:
All local data is stored in a SQLite database on your device, protected by the Android operating system's app sandboxing
Data transmitted to Firebase services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption
We follow secure software development practices throughout our development process
ProGuard/R8 code obfuscation is enabled in production builds to protect the App's source code
Crashlytics data collection is disabled in debug builds to prevent unnecessary data exposure during development
We regularly review and update our security practices to align with industry best practices
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your data to the best of our ability.
You have the following rights regarding your data:
Delete all local data: Go to your device's Settings > Apps > Zikr Diary > Storage > Clear Data
Uninstall the App: This permanently removes all locally stored data from your device
Clear history in-app: Use the "Clear History" feature in the App's Settings screen to delete completed/frozen target history
Delete individual targets: Remove specific targets and their associated entries through the App interface
Opt out of Google Analytics: Go to your device's Google Settings > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
Disable diagnostics: Turn off "Usage & diagnostics" in your Android device settings
Request data deletion: Contact us at contact@techburq.com to request deletion of any anonymized data associated with your device's Crashlytics installation UUID
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights including:
The right to access information about what data we process
The right to request correction of inaccurate data
The right to request deletion of your data
The right to restrict or object to data processing

The Zikr Diary App is an Islamic prayer tracking application suitable for users of all ages. The App:
Does NOT collect any personally identifiable information from any user, including children under 13
Does NOT require account creation, login, or registration of any kind
Does NOT contain any advertisements or ad tracking
Does NOT contain any in-app purchases or monetization features
Does NOT link to external websites or third-party services within the App interface
Does NOT include social features, chat, messaging, or user-to-user communication
Does NOT share data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes
The anonymous analytics and crash data collected cannot identify individual users, including children. If a parent or guardian believes that their child's information has been inadvertently collected, they may contact us at contact@techburq.com, and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data may be processed on Google's servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries outside your country of residence. Google complies with applicable data protection frameworks for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
By using the App, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer and processing of anonymized, non-personal data on servers that may be located outside your country of residence.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information. As Zikr Diary does not collect personal information as defined by the CCPA, these provisions are provided for transparency:

For users in the European Economic Area, the legal basis for processing anonymized analytics and crash data is our legitimate interest in improving the App's functionality, performance, and user experience. As we do not collect personally identifiable information, GDPR's individual rights provisions have limited applicability. However, you may still contact us with any data protection concerns.
As a company based in Pakistan, we comply with the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 and any applicable data protection regulations. We are committed to handling all user data in accordance with Pakistani law and international best practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes:
We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
We will post the updated Privacy Policy on our Google Play Store listing
