If you want wireless listening and flexible Bluetooth or wired use for college students, choose ZIHNIC Headphones Over-Ear; if you need a durable, wired five-pack with a child-focused volume limit, choose iClever Kids Headphones 5. For most college students, I’d pick ZIHNIC: the over-ear design and wireless option suit more everyday situations. iClever makes more sense when a classroom needs several simple, shared headsets.
• ZIHNIC’s biggest strength: Bluetooth listening with the option to connect by 3.5 mm cable. Trade-off: there is no stated noise-control feature.
• iClever’s biggest strength: five wired headsets with a sound limit designed for children. Trade-off: they do not offer wireless listening.
• ZIHNIC fit: over-ear placement, foldable design, and adult age-range description suit a student looking for a personal everyday headset.
• iClever fit: on-ear placement, multiple headband adjustments, and a five-headphone pack suit K–12 classrooms, group study, or shared devices.
• My quick take: choose ZIHNIC for individual flexibility; choose iClever when durability, a multi-pack, and child-focused listening controls matter more.
ZIHNIC’s main advantage is flexibility. It supports Bluetooth 5 and also has a 3.5 mm jack, so a student can listen wirelessly when convenient or use a cable with a compatible device. The listed Bluetooth range is 10 meters. Its over-ear design and foldable construction make it a plausible pick for carrying between a dorm, library, and class.
The stated wireless playtime is 28 hours, and the battery information lists a 14-hour average life. Those figures are not presented in precisely the same way, so I would not treat them as interchangeable guarantees. The battery charge time is listed as two hours. There is also a built-in microphone, which may be useful for calls or online classes, though the available specifications do not detail call quality.

This is the more natural choice for an adult student who wants one headset for different devices and listening setups. I would skip it if a child-specific volume ceiling or a set of several matching headsets is the priority. Its noise control is listed as none, so it is not the pick for someone specifically seeking active noise cancellation or another stated noise-control system. The listed frequency range is 20 Hz–20,000 Hz; that is a specification, not a promise of a particular listening experience.
iClever is a wired, on-ear headset pack intended for K–12 students and classroom use. There are five headsets in the pack, and each connects through a 3.5 mm audio cable. That straightforward setup can make sense where students use tablets or computers with a compatible jack and wireless pairing would be unnecessary. The product also has push-button media controls.
The feature that most clearly separates iClever is its child-focused sound limit: Sound Refiner technology is described as limiting output to below 85 dBA and reducing volume in the 2–4 kHz range. The headband has 26 adjustments, and the ear cups rotate. The foldable design supports storage, while the stated 4.69-ounce weight and soft ear cushions are intended to make them comfortable to wear. Those details may be helpful for a range of student head sizes, but they do not make this a college-specific headset.
The construction is another reason to consider this pack for a classroom. Its PP material and reinforced design are described as built to withstand repeated bending, folding, and extensions; the braided cable is designed to resist tangling. That emphasis on shared, repeated use is a real strength. I would skip it for personal listening if Bluetooth, over-ear placement, or an adult-oriented headset is what you want. Its listed frequency range is 20 Hz–4 kHz, so the supplied specifications do not position it as the broader-range listening option.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Best for wireless listening → ZIHNIC Headphones Over-Ear. It supports Bluetooth 5 and also includes a wired option. iClever is wired only.
• Best for a child-focused sound limit → iClever Kids Headphones 5. Its stated Sound Refiner feature limits output to below 85 dBA and reduces the 2–4 kHz volume.
• Best for over-ear placement → ZIHNIC Headphones Over-Ear. iClever is on-ear, a meaningful difference if you have a clear preference about how ear cups sit.
• Best for a wired-and-wireless mix → ZIHNIC Headphones Over-Ear. The Bluetooth and 3.5 mm options give it more connection flexibility.
• Best for repeated classroom handling → iClever Kids Headphones 5. Its reinforced construction, folding design, and braided cable are aimed at the demands of student use.
• Best for adjustable fit across student head sizes → iClever Kids Headphones 5. It has 26 headband adjustments, while the supplied ZIHNIC details do not specify an adjustment count.
• Best for a student seeking an everyday personal headset → ZIHNIC Headphones Over-Ear. Its adult age-range description, over-ear design, and wireless option make it the more relevant match.
A student searching for the best over ear headphones for college students should pay attention to the form factor first: ZIHNIC is over-ear; iClever is on-ear. A search for the best transparency mode headphone for college students needs a closer look at the actual feature list. Neither product sheet states a transparency mode, and neither lists noise control, so I would not choose either on that basis.
The phrase kids headset for college students points toward a mismatch worth sorting out. iClever’s pack is explicitly aimed at children and school settings. A college student might still have a practical reason to use a wired headset from it, but the five-pack and child-focused controls are not the same proposition as a personal adult headset. ZIHNIC is the clearer fit for that individual use case.
My Verdict
Yes. The specifications list Bluetooth 5 and wireless connectivity, along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired use. That gives it two connection options, though the listed Bluetooth range is 10 meters.
The product information describes Sound Refiner technology that limits output to below 85 dBA and reduces volume in the 2–4 kHz range. They are wired headphones with a 3.5 mm connection, not Bluetooth headphones.
Neither product is described as having noise control. iClever’s thicker ear cushions are said to reduce external noise and interference, but that is not the same as a stated active noise-cancellation or transparency mode feature.
For a personal headset, I’d choose ZIHNIC for its over-ear placement and Bluetooth-plus-wired flexibility. iClever is a better fit for a classroom or group that needs five child-focused wired headsets.
