Research projects
2022-2023, Open data repositories for cultural heritage, funded by PON program (Italian Ministery of Higher Education) in collaboration with MIA lab, University of La Rochelle, France, Role- Senior Researcher (Grade A)
Description- This project aims to design and develop an open data archive for archaeological artefacts collected in the different missions carried out by the teams of the Centro di Servizi Interdipartimentali per l'Archeologia (CISA) of the University of Naples L'Orientale. In addition to the online publication of the open data repository, some collections of archaeological artefacts were used to create a computer vision model for object detection and classification.
Research projects
2019-2021, Short-Term urban traffic forecasting, funding by University of Genoa, Project Leader- Prof. Francesco Masulli, Role- Full-time research
Description- This project aimed to create models for monitoring road traffic in the city of Genoa, Italy. One of the main applications developed was audio surveillance using semi-supervised learning to detect traffic accidents and other dangerous events.
2018-2019, Anomaly Detection in Unlimited Data Streams, funding by ERASMUS+, Project Leader- Prof. Stefano Rovetta, Role- Visiting researcher
Description- The aim of this project was to investigate methods for the detection of anomalies in continuous data streams. One of the main applications concerned the detection of emotions in speech signals using fuzzy clustering.
