The AI & Soft Skills course aims to provide liberal arts students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and soft skills such as communication, negotiation, teamwork, critical thinking and cultural adaptation. By the end of the course, students will understand the core concepts of AI and its applications, and be able to articulate AI concepts clearly and effectively. Students will also improve their negotiation and communication skills in different cultural contexts. This integrated approach prepares students to engage responsibly and thoughtfully with AI technologies in personal and professional settings, regardless of their chosen field of study. Students will also be able to contribute meaningfully to innovation and address societal challenges in an AI-enabled world.
This is the world's first university course with the title "AI & Soft Skills."

The engineering terms you learn (glossary) will help you in your future international collaborations. This could be very useful for you to become more successful in the future as languages play an essential role in the cooperation between countries and companies. As we all know, South Korea is an export-oriented country. Knowledge of English and other official languages of the UN will strengthen you as a professional.
AI knowledge combined with soft skills will be valuable for future international collaborations, enabling students to work effectively with global teams and use AI tools to improve communication across borders.
The ability to collaborate with AI tools will be useful in analysing and solving complex problems in various industries such as business, healthcare, education and technology, using AI to improve decision-making and productivity.
AI-powered communication tools can help students create professional presentations and documents, enhancing their ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, which is essential for both academic and career success.
Students who are proficient in both AI and soft skills will have a competitive advantage in the job market, as these skills are increasingly in demand in industries that use AI for innovation, project management and customer relations.
AI tools can support critical thinking and decision making, which are essential for students pursuing careers in fields such as data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence, allowing them to tackle challenges in innovative ways.
AI can be applied in leadership roles to improve management strategies, helping students track team performance, analyse data and guide decisions through AI-powered analytics tools, improving efficiency and collaboration.
AI skills combined with soft skills can be used to design personalised learning experiences, helping students and professionals create tailored approaches to education, training and self-improvement.
AI and soft skills are essential for navigating future work trends, as students will need to adapt to rapidly evolving work environments where AI will handle routine tasks while humans contribute creativity, emotional intelligence and strategic thinking.
AI can be used to improve negotiation and interpersonal skills, particularly in cross-cultural contexts, where AI-powered tools can simulate real-time translation and improve understanding of cultural nuances to enhance communication in diverse environments.
By mastering AI and soft skills, students will enhance their adaptability, intelligence and creativity, preparing them for future jobs where success will depend on both cognitive skills and the emotional intelligence required to work with AI systems.
