Postdoctoral Position Opening
We currently have a postoctoral position opening in the Materials Theory and Simulation group at the University of Kansas (KU). The postdoctoral researcher will be co-supervised by Prof. Qunfei Zhou at KU and Prof. Kirill Belashchenko at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), and work within a collaborated team of experimental and computational experts from KU and UNL. The research project focuses on studying exotic magnetic and topological states in 2D van der Waals materials. Candidates with experience in Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations, tight-binding modeling, and/or machine learning are strongly encouraged to apply.
If you are interested, please send your CV, cover letter and contact information of at least two referees to Dr. Qunfei Zhou at qunfei.zhou@ku.edu.
Graduate and Undergraduate Students
We are seeking motivated graduate and undergraduate students to join our group. Students who are interested in computational materials physics, analytical theory and machine learning for the understanding, property tuning and rational design of advanced materials for next-generation electronic and quantum technologies, are welcome to reach out by email.
