We synthesize layered crystals. Our interest is not in collecting materials but in selecting systems where symmetry, order, and interactions can be clearly defined. We work with crystals whose structure supports well-defined point groups, magnetic configurations, and collective modes, allowing a minimal yet sufficient low-energy Hamiltonian to be written.
