Welcome

About me

Hello, everyone. Welcome to my website. Currently, I am a postdoctoral associate in Department of Mathematic and Earth Resource Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I earned my Ph.D in geophysics from the University of British Columbia in April 2018. I received my Master and BSc in Mathematics from Tsinghua University in June 2012 and June 2010, respectively.

My research focuses on inverse problem, machine learning, artificial intelligence, signal and image processing, uncertainty quantification, large-scale optimization, parallel computing and their applications to seismic exploration and imaging. I study and apply art-to-state technology in mathematics and compute science to develop high-speed, low-cost, and high-resolution technology to study the inner Earth's structure in different scales. Its applications range from studies of Earth’s core, thousands of kilometers below the surface, to detailed images of shallow crustal structures for locating petroleum deposits.
