Secure and Intelligent Distributed Computing (SIDC) Lab
Secure and Intelligent Distributed Computing (SIDC) Lab
SIDC Lab Director:
Dr. Zhen Zeng, Assistant Professor, Computer Science
The Secure and Intelligent Distributed Computing (SIDC) Lab at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM) focuses on securing distributed intelligent systems and AI-enabled cyber-physical systems. Led by Dr. Zhen Zeng since 2023, the lab conducts research at the intersection of AI system security, cloud and edge computing, and distributed intelligent systems, addressing the security, efficiency, and reliability of AI models deployed across cloud–edge infrastructures and cyber-physical platforms. In addition to research, SIDC lab advances cybersecurity and AI education through professional development and workforce training.
SIDC lab actively collaborates with industry partners to translate research advances into practical solutions for real-world systems, with a particular focus on advanced manufacturing.
