If you want deep, immersive comfort for sleeping on your side or back while streaming music from your phone, choose ZHENYEMEI Sleep Headphones Sleep; if you need a rugged, waterproof device specifically engineered to play music underwater without losing signal, choose SANOTO Swimming Headphones. These two products solve completely different problems, and mixing them up will leave you frustrated rather than relaxed or active.
• ZHENYEMEI Sleep Headphones Sleep: Its greatest strength is the ultra-soft bamboo cotton fabric designed for all-night cloud-like comfort and 14 hours of battery life; its trade-off is that it lacks internal storage for offline listening and is not built for submersion in water.
• SANOTO Swimming Headphones: Its biggest advantage is the IPX8 rating allowing full submersion up to 10 meters plus 8GB of built-in MP3 storage for underwater use; its trade-off is the in-ear hook design which may feel intrusive compared to a headband for casual home use.
• Best For: Choose ZHENYEMEI if you are looking for best usb c charging bluetooth headphones for macbook users who prioritize sleep quality over aquatic durability. Choose SANOTO if you are an athlete who needs rechargeable bluetooth headphones for macbook connectivity but requires true waterproof performance for lap swimming.
The ZHENYEMEI Sleep Headphones Sleep Mask is engineered with a singular focus: undisturbed rest. The design wraps around your ears using an ultra-thin flat speaker system encased in breathable bamboo cotton fabric. This material choice is critical for anyone who suffers from night sweats or has sensitive skin. Unlike standard foam earbuds that can trap heat or cause irritation after a few hours, this natural, hypoallergenic organic bamboo cotton wicks moisture away and stays soft against your face. It is ideal for hot sleepers who need to stay cool and dry while drifting off to white noise, audiobooks, or calming playlists.
For those who struggle with traditional sleep masks, the ZHENYEMEI model offers a distinct advantage. The flat speakers sit gently against the ears without pressing into the pinna, meaning you can sleep on your side without feeling pressure points or waking up with soreness. The Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity ensures a stable connection to your devices, whether you are streaming from a laptop, tablet, or phone. The 14-hour battery life is particularly impressive for overnight use; you can charge it for just 1.5 hours before falling asleep and have enough power to last through the entire night and well into the next day for workouts or travel.

This product is perfect for the person who values silence and comfort above all else. If you work out at night and need to listen to music immediately after, the IPX6 waterproof rating means you can handle sweat and rain, though it is not meant for actual swimming. However, if you need to take your music library with you everywhere without a phone nearby, this might not be the right fit, as it relies entirely on a Bluetooth connection to a source device. It is also not designed for children who might be too rough with electronics, but rather for adults seeking a premium, eco-friendly sleep aid.
The SANOTO Swimming Headphones S710 is a specialized tool for athletes who spend significant time in the water. Its core innovation lies in the combination of IPX8 waterproofing and built-in 8GB MP3 storage. While most wireless headphones fail when submerged because water blocks Bluetooth signals, these earbuds allow you to switch modes seamlessly. When you dive under the surface, you simply switch to MP3 mode, bypassing the need for a phone connection entirely. The built-in memory can hold up to 1,500 lossless tracks in various formats like FLAC, WAV, and APE, ensuring you never run out of music during long training sessions or open-water swims.
Comfort in the pool is non-negotiable, and SANOTO addresses this with skin-friendly silicone ear hooks. These hooks are flexible enough to adapt to different head shapes and stay secure even during intense freestyle strokes or treading water. They are designed to work in tandem with swimming caps and goggles, preventing the headphones from falling out or creating gaps where water could enter. The closed-back in-ear design creates a 360° sound cavity that isolates external noise effectively, delivering crisp, focused audio even underwater where sound behaves differently than in air. This makes them superior to open-ear bone conduction models for swimmers who want to hear their own rhythm clearly without distraction.
Battery life is robust for both scenarios, offering up to 12 hours in MP3 mode and 8 hours in Bluetooth mode. This is sufficient for multi-day trips or extended daily training routines. The controls are simple push-button mechanisms, making them easy to operate with wet fingers or gloved hands. However, the in-ear form factor means they do not offer the same "set it and forget it" comfort as a headband for lying down. If you try to sleep with these in, the ear hooks might dig into your temple or cheekbone, making them unsuitable for nighttime use. They are strictly for active wear, specifically for swimming, surfing, diving, and running.
• Best for underwater immersion → SANOTO Swimming Headphones: Only the SANOTO unit supports full submersion up to 10 meters with its IPX8 rating and MP3 mode switching.
• Best for side-sleeping comfort → ZHENYEMEI Sleep Headphones Sleep: The flat speakers and bamboo cotton fabric prevent pressure points when lying on your side.
• Best for battery longevity → ZHENYEMEI Sleep Headphones Sleep: At 14 hours, the ZHENYEMEI battery outlasts the SANOTO's 12 hours in MP3 mode.
• Best for offline listening without a phone → SANOTO Swimming Headphones: The 8GB internal storage allows you to swim or run without carrying a mobile device.
• Best for sensitive skin/hot sleepers → ZHENYEMEI Sleep Headphones Sleep: The organic bamboo cotton is breathable and hypoallergenic, unlike the silicone of the SANOTO.
• Best for kids headset for macbook usage → ZHENYEMEI Sleep Headphones Sleep: The headband design is safer and more durable for children who might drop earbuds, whereas in-ear hooks are easily lost.
• Best for active sports (running/cycling) → SANOTO Swimming Headphones: The secure ear hooks stay in place during high-intensity movement better than a loose headband.
• Best for quick charging → ZHENYEMEI Sleep Headphones Sleep: It charges fully in 1.5 hours, slightly faster than the SANOTO's 2-hour requirement.
In my opinion, the ZHENYEMEI Sleep Headphones Sleep is the superior choice for the vast majority of users looking for a versatile audio companion, especially those pairing it with a MacBook for late-night study sessions or relaxation. The combination of bamboo cotton comfort, 14-hour battery life, and gentle side-sleeping design solves a problem that most people don't realize they have until they try it. While the SANOTO is an incredible piece of engineering for swimmers, its specific utility is so narrow that it cannot compete with the daily versatility of the ZHENYEMEI. I would buy the ZHENYEMEI for my own setup because it works perfectly for my evening wind-down routine on my MacBook, offering the best usb c charging bluetooth headphones for macbook users who need reliability and comfort over specialized aquatic features.
Yes, both the ZHENYEMEI and SANOTO models feature Bluetooth 5.4, which pairs seamlessly with MacBooks, iPads, and other modern laptops for wireless streaming.
No, the ZHENYEMEI headphones only have an IPX6 rating, meaning they handle sweat and rain but cannot be submerged in water like the SANOTO IPX8 model.
Not necessarily. The SANOTO headphones have 8GB of internal storage, so you can load music directly onto them and use them in MP3 mode without a phone connected.
The ZHENYEMEI headphones are likely better for sensitive ears due to the hypoallergenic bamboo cotton fabric and flat speakers that avoid inserting anything into the ear canal.
