Working Together

Opening position(s):

Students with a strong background in math & statistics, data science, or computer engineering are welcome to reach out for a potentially funded position.

Ph.D. students

I look for candidates who are interested in interdisciplinary sustainability research and equipped with novel data analytical skills (e.g., life-cycle assessment and optimization, integrated assessment modelling for climate change, geo-spatial analysis, environmental econometrics and applied statistics, or machine learning in earth sciences) to inform mining, resource, and environmental policy-making.

If you are interested, please send me an email with your CV and a concrete research statement (>=3 pages, references included). Programming experience is required. A publication record is an asset.

Note: Your research statement is recommended to include an introduction (literature review), key research questions, applied methods and data, implementation plan, expected results, and a timeline of milestones. Due to the high volume of inquiries, an inquiry without a research statement might not be answered.

Master's students

I only support exceptional thesis-based master's students. If you are interested, please send me an email with your resume/CV, transcripts and a brief summary of your research achievements. A preliminary research plan at Queen's is an asset. Due to the high volume of inquiries, an inquiry without showing one's research skills might not be answered.
