Students
Wentao is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering at Michigan State University. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from China Pharmaceutical University. His research focuses on developing biopolymer based nano-delivery vehicles in plants and understanding their transport mechanisms. He also studies nanoplastics accumulation in plants to develop and identify mitigation strategies that reduce nanoplastic dietary exposure risks.
AUSTIN MALBURG
Austin Malburg is an Honors College Professional Aide student studying Chemical Engineering at Michigan State University. Currently, he is developing upcycled waste keratin material as food coating and packaging material. He will also be researching seed coatings composed of bacteria and Metal Phenolic Networks (MPN's). In his free time, he enjoys fishing, traveling, driving race cars, and card games. He is looking forward to applying classroom concepts to real-world scenarios while gaining hands-on experience.
