1. The deck-mounted bathroom sink faucets take up a lot countertop space. If your sink’s countertop is narrow, this type of mount is not an ideal option.

2. Causes an obstruction while cleaning and drying the countertop.

Wall-Mounted Faucets

As name suggests, wall-mounted faucets are mounted on the walls saving a lot of your space. The list of benefits are:

Pros

1. Saves a lot of space behind the countertop of the sink. You may have a narrower sink to save up space in the bathroom, installing this type of faucet is a good call.

2. Its easier to clean the counter top as there is nothing behind the sink to cause any kind of obstruction.

Cons

1. Its installation is quite difficult as you need to make holes in the wall to fix it. It involves a lot of plumbing requirement.

2. It is less versatile because when you need to change the faucet, you have to stick to a model of the same type that was already installed otherwise you have to get a plumber adapting wire behind the wall to fit the new faucet.

3. Its maintenance is difficult because all the wires are all embedded into the wall.

4. If you use them for bigger sinks with deeper countertops, it becomes uncomfortable to reach the faucet installed on the wall as the distance will be more from the counter front.

Which Is A Better Option

· The first thing to consider is your current situation. If you just want to replace your current faucet, you can chose the same type so that there is no hassle of adapting your plumbing.

· If your bathroom is newly built, you can choose either type depending upon the space.
