Upon my graduation from high school in Istanbul, I knew that I wanted to study psychology and use my skills in communication to benefit others and myself.

I began doing extensive research in the field to study the different psychological perspectives, as well as the therapeutic methods respective to each perspective.

This led to obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from American University in Washington, D.C. After working as a primary school teacher assistant in Virginia, I moved back to Istanbul where I studied the MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology at Bahcesehir University. I gained practical experience at the first Clinical Neuropsychology Laboratory in Istanbul (ÇAPA, Faculty of Medicine).

In 2017, I moved to France and studied at the University of Toulouse, where I obtained the license to practice as a Clinical Neuropsychologist in France. During that time, I gained practical experience at the Hôpital du Jour in Guebwiller and the Center for Rehabilitation in Mulhouse.

Living in countries where ethnic identities and cultural perspectives are so different taught me how our belief system influences the way we feel and behave. I have also experienced that these factors need to be taken into consideration because they constantly occur in personal narratives and the dynamics of people’s relationships.
