DRESS
There is no dress code. Some people dress up and others dress casually.
PICKING A SEAT
Lutherans tend to fill up the back seats first, but all seats are open and anyone is welcome to sit anywhere.
BULLETINS
Bible readings for the service are on the back of the bulletin (pamphlets handed out by greeters at the beginning of service).
DURING SERVICE
Refer to the wood frame at the front of the church to find the page numbers that will be used from the hymnal during service. Expect to flip through the hymn book throughout the service. It might be a little confusing at first, but you'll catch on!
COMMUNION
Communion is closed to non-members, but if you'd like to partake, have a conversation with the pastor before service.
KIDS IN CHURCH
Zion English does not offer childcare during church service.
Congregants will tell families that children making noise in church does not bother them, and they mean it!
But if one needs to, there is a toy room and nursing room to take small children to during the service.
END OF SERVICE
After church people are dismissed by pew (front pews go first), and each person has a chance to shake hands with the pastor and speak with him. Afterward all are welcome to join bible study led by Pastor Provost.
Kids can play in the toy room and around where the adults meet for any who would like to be a part of study.
