One of my favorite repeat reports. Here I use an internal dataset and transform it into an infographic that becomes a link-magnet for SEO outreach.
Company: [Streaming Guide Company - Withheld Name fir Anonymity]
Role: Data Analyst
Duration: Ongoing
Tools Used: LightDash, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
The company is a global leading streaming guide that helps you find where to stream any new and popular titles on various platforms.
As part of my Data Analyst role, I created the lists and graphics which are then used to leverage journalists to use and write about our data.
The primary goal of these reports is to find the most popular titles over a certain period of time. These are used as a linkable asset in combination with PR to leverage journalists to write about our site and data.
LightDash - Data collection, filtering by country and sorting by popularity
Google Spreadsheets - Keeps a static copy of the data for storage purposes.
Google Slides - For final visualization and presentation of findings
Normally I would follow these steps:
Data filtering for the countries, sorting by popularity and reviewing.
Grab the Top 10 Titles for movies and TV shows
Create Google Sheets summarized lists for internal teams
Google Slides, I design a final graphic with the data we prepared from above.
Flagged noteworthy titles across countries and genres.
Note: This case study is a generalized summary of my workflow and contributions. It does not contain any proprietary data or represent real internal metrics. Company names and details have been withheld or anonymized for confidentiality.
