Privacy Policy for ZenMute
Last updated: July 1, 2026
INNOVASIV TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD. operates the ZenMute mobile application. This page informs users of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.
Information We Collect
Email Address — collected when you create an account, used for authentication via Firebase.
Location Data (GPS) — used to detect when you enter or exit quiet zones, including when the app is running in the background (phone locked or app closed). Coordinates are sent to the Overpass API (OpenStreetMap) solely to find nearby places. When you use the map search bar, your search text is also sent to Google Places API to show suggestions. Location is never sold or shared with advertisers. Your last known GPS coordinates and building boundary shapes are saved locally on your device to speed up zone detection. None of this is transmitted to our servers.
Physical Activity Data — the app detects motion state (walking, driving, stationary) using Android's Activity Recognition API. This data is processed locally on your device to improve zone detection accuracy. It is never stored or transmitted to our servers.
Bluetooth Connection State — the app reads whether a Bluetooth audio device (headset, earphones) is connected, to correctly route audio when muting or restoring volume. No device identifiers or pairing data are collected or transmitted.
Contacts (Phonebook) — contact names and phone numbers you select as Priority Contacts are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
Incoming Caller Number — when a call arrives while your phone is in a silent or vibrate zone, the app reads the incoming caller's phone number in real-time to check if they are in your Priority Contacts list. If they match, the phone temporarily rings for that call only. The number is never stored, never uploaded, and discarded immediately after the check. No call history is accessed. Debug test builds may log whether a match was found (not the number itself); production builds do not log caller information.
Crash Reports — automatically collected by Firebase Crashlytics. This includes stack traces, device model, OS version, and app version at the time of crash. Crashlytics does not have access to your contacts, location history, or caller numbers.
App Usage Data — automatically collected by Firebase Analytics (screen views, session duration).
Advertising ID — collected automatically by Google AdMob to serve banner ads.
In-App Purchase Data — if you upgrade to ZenMute Pro, your purchase is processed through Google Play. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and subscription status to verify your Pro entitlement. No payment card details are ever seen or stored by us.
