Our third Generation skin tightening treatment heats deep skin layers by delivering high frequency electrical currents via poles, or electrodes, to the body. Heating in the deeper dermis, to a constant 40 degrees Celsius, stimulates fibroblast action. In turn, this increases the synthesis of new collagen and elastin fibres.
What you need to know
This thermal trauma which occurs to 5-30% of the collagen fibres causes an immediate contraction of the fibres. The contraction results in the production of new collagen in treated areas. Microneedling also known as CIT (Collagen Induction Therapy), a treatment that is designed to promote skin rejuvenation. The procedure itself is non-invasive. The clinical treatment uses a pen-type device with microscopic needles that are used to create small punctures on the top layer of the skin by being passed back and forth all over your face.
To be exact, the tool uses several super-tiny needles in the very tip, which can be adjusted by your professional between 0.5 and 2.5mm. The smallest setting — 0.5mm, penetrates the stratum cornea, or the superficial layer of skin. Your body treats a small wound the same way as a large wound and sends fibroblasts to create more collagen in the affected area. The treatment can also help reduce pore size and heal acne scars.
