Privacy Policy for Zenaverse
Effective Date: August 01, 2025
Redfactory (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") is committed to protecting the privacy of its users and complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of the Republic of Korea and relevant international privacy standards. This Privacy Policy outlines how the Company collects, uses, and protects the personal information of the users of its service.
Article 1. Information We Collect and How We Collect It
① The Company may collect the following minimum information at the time of sign-up to provide a seamless service experience:
Information Collected at Sign-up:
Required: Email address, a Unique Identifier (ID) provided by social account providers such as Google or Apple; a Nickname set by the User.
Information Collected Automatically During Service Use:
Cookies, Advertising Identifiers (ADID for Android / IDFA for iOS), service usage records (such as viewed novels, ratings, time spent on pages), access logs, IP address, and device information (such as OS version and device model).
② Method of Collection: Information is collected automatically during the sign-up process via social login (OAuth) and while the User is using the Service.
Article 2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
The Company uses the collected information for the following purposes:
Member Management: To identify users for membership-based services, provide account recovery, prevent fraudulent use, and confirm the intent to sign up.
Service Provision and Improvement: To provide content, process in-app transactions, and to improve the service and develop new services based on statistical analysis.
Personalized Services and Marketing: To provide personalized content recommendations and advertisements based on demographic characteristics and personal interests, to measure advertising effectiveness, and to deliver promotional information.
Dispute Resolution and Compliance with Legal Obligations.
Article 3. Data Retention and Deletion
① In principle, the Company shall destroy personal information without delay after the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved. If a Member requests to withdraw from the service (delete account), their information will be destroyed immediately.
② However, the Company may retain certain information for the period specified for the reasons below:
Records of Improper Use: May be retained for one (1) year after membership withdrawal to prevent fraudulent sign-ups and abuse.
Compliance with Laws: Information may be retained for a period prescribed by relevant laws, such as the Protection of Communications Secrets Act.
Article 4. Regarding Online Personalized Advertising and Analytics Tools
① The Company may use third-party online analytics tools and personalized advertising platforms, such as Google Analytics and AdMob.
② These services use cookies and advertising identifiers (ADID/IDFA) to collect information about the User's behavior on the Service. This information is processed in a form that does not personally identify the individual.
③ The User may opt-out of receiving personalized advertisements at any time through their device settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).
Article 5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
① The Company does not provide users' personal information to third parties without prior consent, except where required by law.
② The Company entrusts certain tasks to professional companies to ensure seamless service:
Service Provider: Google, Inc. (Firebase, AdMob, Google Analytics)
Entrusted Tasks: User authentication, behavior analysis, and provision of personalized advertisements.
Article 6. User's Rights and How to Exercise Them
① The User may, at any time, request to view or modify their registered personal information and may request to withdraw their consent (delete their account).
② These rights can be exercised through the 'Account Settings' feature within the App or by contacting customer support.
③ The Company does not knowingly permit children under the age of 16 to sign up for membership.
Article 6-1. Additional Privacy Rights for California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a resident of California, USA, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
Right to Know: You may request to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
Right to Delete: You may request the deletion of your personal information collected by us.
Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. Please note that Redfactory does not sell your personal information to third parties.

Article 7. Measures for Ensuring Data Security
The Company takes technical and administrative measures, including encryption (HTTPS/TLS), to prevent the loss, theft, leakage, or alteration of personal information.

Article 9. Governing Language
The governing language of this Privacy Policy is Korean. Any translation of this Policy is provided for convenience only. In the event of any conflict or discrepancy between the Korean version and any translated version, the Korean version shall prevail.
Article 10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be notified through the Service's announcements at least 7 days prior to the amendment.
