BIG ZEN

Released in 2025, BIG ZEN is the debut album from Las Vegas-based jazz/fusion collective Zen Friends. Featuring original compositions by all five founding members alongside reimagined jazz standards, the album captures the group’s signature blend of groove, improvisation, and funky-fresh energy.

Recorded throughout the summer and fall of 2025, BIG ZEN is a labor of love that documents the band’s first chapter together and the chemistry that quickly developed between its five musicians. Rooted in jazz but drawing freely from contemporary sounds and influences, the album reflects Zen Friends’ commitment to keeping the music adventurous, accessible, and alive.

BIG ZEN is more than a debut—it’s a snapshot of five musicians discovering what happens when they bring their individual voices together and simply let the music be here now.
