What I’m Playing, What’s Coming & Channel News

Welcome to the first ZeldaDude2026 Weekly Quest Log!

If you’re looking for something new to watch on the channel, I currently have three playthroughs I recommend checking out.

🎮 Star Wars Outlaws — I’m making my way through the galaxy and discovering where this story fits into the Star Wars timeline.

⚔️ Final Fantasy VII — The adventure continues as I work my way through Final Fantasy VII and get closer to finishing the first game.

🛡️ Hyrule Warriors — I’m also working toward finishing up my Hyrule Warriors playthrough, so Zelda fans definitely have something to check out.

Those are three great places to jump into the channel right now!

There could also be some exciting Nintendo news ahead. There are rumors about a possible Nintendo Direct next week, and naturally I’m keeping a close eye on anything involving The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Until Nintendo officially announces something, it’s only a rumor — but you know I’ll be ready if Zelda news drops!

I’ve also been adding new things to the ZeldaDude2026 website, including my 10 Questions section, where you can learn more about me, my story, and why I created this channel.

Going forward, I want this Weekly Quest Log to be the place where you can quickly find out what I’m playing, what videos are coming, what’s new on the website, and what Nintendo news I’m watching.

Thanks for supporting ZeldaDude2026 and the If Only community.

If only I knew then what I know now.

See you on the next quest! 🎮

🎮 Weekly Update: Welcome Back, Old Friend — Ocarina of Time

This week on ZeldaDude2026, I took a trip down memory lane with one of the most legendary Zelda adventures ever made: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

In my new video, “Welcome Back, Old Friend,” I talk about what it was like playing Ocarina of Time all those years ago and the memories I still have from that original adventure. From exploring Hyrule to pulling the Master Sword and taking on some of the game's unforgettable dungeons and bosses, there are moments from this game that I still remember today.

Now we're getting closer to experiencing Ocarina of Time again on Nintendo Switch 2, and I can't wait to see those familiar places and moments brought to life for a new generation.

That's why I called the video “Welcome Back, Old Friend.” That's exactly what Ocarina of Time feels like to me. It's an old friend I haven't seen in a long time, and soon we'll finally meet again.

I'm counting down to the November release, and when launch night arrives, I plan to bring you along for the adventure right here on ZeldaDude2026.

🗡️ Ocarina of Time is coming back.
🎮 Nintendo Switch 2 is ready.
💚 And so am I.

Welcome back, old friend. We missed you.

If only I knew then what I know now.

Technology Has Come a Long Way — And So Have I

Sometimes I sit back and think about how much technology has changed from the 1970s to today, and it honestly amazes me.

Today, you can speak into a phone and have your words turned into text. You can translate languages almost instantly. You can talk to AI, explain what you're thinking, and get help putting those thoughts into words. You can even take two pictures and use AI to turn them into an amazing thumbnail for a YouTube video.

For someone like me, that means more than simply having cool new technology.

Growing up with a learning disability, one of the hardest things for me was knowing what I wanted to say but struggling to put what was in my head onto paper. Instead of always getting the help I needed, there were times when I was called names, degraded, disrespected, and made to feel stupid because I couldn't write or communicate the same way other people could.

That stays with you.

Even when I got to college, I was encouraged to seek help with my writing, but there were still times when asking for help could leave me feeling judged or disrespected.

That's one reason I'm so amazed by the technology we have today.

Now I can pick up my phone and speak the thoughts that are in my head. Technology can help me organize those thoughts and turn them into something other people can read and understand. AI can help me create thumbnails for my gaming channel, work on descriptions, organize ideas, and communicate things that I may have struggled to put into words on my own.

And the important part is that asking technology for help doesn't come with someone calling me stupid because I need that help.

Technology isn't perfect, and it doesn't replace people. But it can give people tools they didn't have before.

So if you're somebody who struggles with writing, speaking, learning, or simply getting what's inside your head out into the world, don't give up on yourself.

Look at how far technology has come.

The tools available today can give people new ways to communicate, create, learn, and finally say what they've been trying to say all along.

And for somebody who grew up struggling to put his thoughts onto paper, that's pretty amazing to see. ❤️

Until next week's update, keep creating, keep learning, and never be ashamed to use the tools that help you find your voice.
