Teaching Positions
Brief Teaching Statement:
My enthusiasm for teaching stems from a sense of responsibility to equip them with essential analytical skills for their careers and shape them into informed citizens. I strongly believe in fostering an interactive classroom environment where students are encouraged to ask and answer questions to express their thoughts and build self-confidence. I emphasize that mistakes are a natural part of the learning process and that there is no shame in making errors—every question and comment is valuable. In my teaching, I aim to help students connect course material with real-world applications. I provide opportunities for class discussions on how the economy influences daily life. Drawing on my education experiences across China, the United Kingdom, and the United States, I have learned how to engage students from diverse educational backgrounds. The varied teaching experiences, including macroeconomics, statistics, and mathematics, have allowed me to refine my teaching approach in multiple types of courses. Ultimately, my goal is to elevate the learning experience by guiding students toward developing the analytical and critical skills necessary for tackling the complex professional challenges they will face in the future.
