Welcome!
About me
Greetings and welcome to my personal website! I am a PhD candidate at West Virginia University, set to graduate in 2025. My primary research interests are in macroeconomics, monetary economics, finance, and bond markets, with additional interests in fintech, including cryptocurrency and blockchain.
At West Virginia University, I am working with my advisor, Dr. Scott Schuh, on research investigating the interaction between money markets, inflation, and bond markets, drawing on knowledge from my field courses in the Finance Department. I have had the opportunity to teach several undergraduate economics courses, focusing on macroeconomics and statistics, and I also have experience teaching math camps for PhD students.
Before pursuing my PhD, I earned a distinction degree in economics at the University of Edinburgh. I worked under the supervision of Dr. Gary Koop, applying time-series and Bayesian econometrics methods to macroeconomic analysis. Prior to that, I completed my bachelor's degree in marketing and sociology at Sun Yat-sen University in China.
