Hi, I wanted to ask if you shoot a music video For TV, MTV for example or music channels In what format should you shoot the raw material? raw or h624 or Prores? Or it doesn't matter because it's not going to the cinema. In what format do you usually shoot music videos when you do it for broadcast on TV? Thanks

It's not ideal but it was never going to be. It is a slight step up from the earlier DVD release I have but admittedly not by that much, although there is a better sense of depth but this is really only apparent during the opening few numbers where the stage is wide and open and the background scaffolding can be seen. I am happy for it to remain the way it is, happy that it has not been tinkered with, it still presents a raw image which fits well with the nature of the concert and the songs sung.

SoundThere are three lossless tracks to take advantage of here, one of which is a straight port from the earlier DVD release. That original stereo PCM option is still there and is still a track which I do enjoy. The remaining two are HD variants of the tracks on the earlier release.

The Criterion Collection upgrades their previous DVD edition of Hoop Dreams to Blu-ray, presenting the film in its open aspect ratio of about 1.33:1 on a dual-layer disc (the film was released theatrically at 1.85:1, but judging by comments in the commentary the filmmakers prefer the open-matte ratio). The new 1080i/60hz presentation comes from (as suggested by the notes) the finished D1 digital videotape.

SDR, or Standard Dynamic Range, is the current standard for video and cinema displays. Unfortunately, it is limited by its ability to only represent a fraction of the dynamic range that HDR is capable of. HDR, therefore, preserves details in scenes where the contrast ratio of the monitor could otherwise be a hindrance. SDR, on the other hand, lacks this aptitude.

In music, vinyl records became CDs, which then became mp3s in turn. In home videos, VHS became DVDs then Blue-Rays. In terms of televisual resolution, simply, 480i morphed into 720p and 1080i over time. The pattern here is clear.

On May 29, 2006, the channel Latvijas Mzikas kanls or LMK was created, where programs, charts, concerts and shows were shown. The channel broadcasts the latest, most relevant and popular music videos of Latvian music performers 24 hours a day. The channel program broadcasts ten original programs and several thematic music video blocks. The channel also offered an attractive morning program with music, cinema and fashion news and other current information. The LMK channel was rebroadcast by the LNT channel at night. Now, on Kanls 2, song videos are shown in the morning from 05:00 to 08:00 and at night from 00:00 to 02:00.

In 2011, the entertainment channel LMK together with the communication operator "OKarte" created the musical show "OKartes stage". The essence of the show was to allow the participants to express themselves freely and creatively - to create original songs, a stage image, take care of marketing and finances. All management related to the creation of music and formation of the group was completely transferred to the hands of the members themselves. During the week, the participants had to prepare a performance for the big concert on Friday - two songs that the participants performed one after the other at the concert. One song was an original song created by the participants in the show, the other was a well-known song that the participants performed in their own interpretation. Since the tone of the music industry is primarily set by the fans, the show's only decision-makers on seating arrangements at the concert were the television viewers. The group "Jtnieki" became the winners of the "OKartes stage" musical show.

Turner Classic Movies's library of films spans several decades of cinema and includes thousands of film titles, including Warner Bros. Pictures. Besides broadcasting films owned or licensed by Warner Bros., Turner Classic Movies also licenses films from Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures,[4] Walt Disney Studios (including film content from 20th Century Studios, Buena Vista Distribution[5] as well as most of the Selznick International Pictures library[6]), Sony Pictures Entertainment (primarily film content from Columbia Pictures and TriStar Pictures), StudioCanal, and Janus Films.

In addition to films, Turner Classic Movies also airs original content, mostly documentaries about classic movie personalities, the world of filmmaking and particularly notable films. An occasional month-long series, Race and Hollywood, showcases films by and about people of non-white races, featuring discussions of how these pictures influenced white people's image of said races, as well as how people of those races viewed themselves. Previous installments have included "Asian Images on Film" in 2008,[16] "Native American Images on Film" in 2010,[17] "Black Images on Film" in 2006[18] "Latino Images on Film" in 2009[19] and "Arab Images on Film" in 2011.[20] The network aired the film series Screened Out (which explored the history and depiction of homosexuality in film) in 2007 and Religion on Film (focusing on the role of religion in cinematic works) in 2005. In 2011, TCM debuted a new series entitled AFI's Master Class: The Art of Collaboration.[21][22]

Many films shown on Turner Classic Movies were made during the Golden Age of Hollywood, an era with few survivors. In December 1994, Turner Classic Movies debuted "TCM Remembers", a tribute to recently deceased film personalities (including actors, producers, composers, directors, writers, and cinematographers) which occasionally airs during promotional breaks between films. The segments appear in two forms: individual tributes and a longer end-of-year compilation. Following the recent death of an especially famous film personality (usually an actor or filmmaker), the segment will feature a montage of select shots of the deceased's work.

Turner Classic Movies received a 2013 Peabody Award for its presentation of Mark Cousins' The Story of Film: An Odyssey, a 15-episode documentary about the development and advancement of the medium of motion pictures. Drawing on its exhaustive film library, Turner Classic Movies complemented each episode with short films and feature films from the familiar to the little-seen. The Peabody Award praised Turner Classic Movies's The Story of Film "for its inclusive, uniquely annotated survey of world cinema history".[27]
