Zeal is a Chrome extension that replaces the new tab page
(Chrome Web Store ID: bdjlofcdofdiihogoabfkeeminmojplk).
Zeal has no account, no analytics and no server of its own.
Zeal stores this data only in your browser. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
Your browsing history. Zeal reads it to show and search it, and keeps a local copy so you can see history older than Chrome keeps.
Your open tabs, to list them and switch between them.
Your bookmarks, only after you allow access on the Bookmarks tab.
Your tasks, link collections, recent searches and hidden sites.
Your Home settings: shortcuts, widgets, and a wallpaper image if you upload one.
When you uninstall Zeal, Chrome deletes this data.
To show some content, Zeal makes these requests. They do not contain your history, tabs, tasks or bookmarks.
Lorem Picsum (picsum.photos): gets the photo of the day. The request contains a photo number and the screen size.
Google favicon service (www.google.com/s2/favicons): gets website icons. Each request contains the domain name of a site that Zeal shows, for example github.com.
Your default search engine: when you search from the Home search box, Chrome sends your search text to the search engine you chose in Chrome.
cdnjs (cdnjs.cloudflare.com): loads the icon font.
These services see your IP address, as with any web request. Their own privacy policies apply.
