Your privacy comes first

No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Zatto from you as an app user. Saved favorites, search queries, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Zatto is built to help you discover movies, TV shows, and entertainment guides with confidence. We designed this app so you can browse curated listings, explore categories, save titles you like, and read discovery guides — without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:

Your name

Your phone number

Your email address

Your home or mailing address

Your date of birth

Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)

Photos, contacts, or camera data

Precise GPS location

No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

To power your entertainment discovery experience, Zatto stores the following locally on your device only (DataStore preferences):

Saved and bookmarked titles (Favorites)

Recent search queries and filter selections

App settings (such as light/dark theme)

This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user. Data you manage in the app remains on your device — we do not receive it as personal user profile data.

4. Local, On-Device Processing

Zatto is designed for local processing wherever possible. Core features — including favorites, search, category browsing, filters, and settings — run on your device using locally stored data.

Your saved favorites and app preferences are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. You can browse saved favorites offline after they have been saved.

An internet connection is needed to load poster images, display advertisements, and for general content discovery features that use network resources.

5. Data Display and Sharing

Entertainment listings shown in the app are provided as original discovery and guide content for browsing purposes only. Zatto does not stream video or host copyrighted media.

Poster images may be loaded from third-party image services (such as Unsplash) when you are online. Saved favorites and your in-app browsing selections are read from your device's local storage.

If you share a title or the app using your device's standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us.

Zatto is a discovery guide only. It does not provide direct streaming or playback of third-party content.

6. Advertising

Zatto displays advertisements through Google AdMob to help keep the app free to use. Ad formats may include banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads shown when you open titles, sections, or navigate between main areas of the app.

Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP address), app interactions with ads, and technical device data to deliver, measure, and improve ads. This data is handled according to Google's policies, not stored by us as a personal user profile.

You can limit ad personalization on your device through:

Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

7. Third-Party Services

Zatto may load images and related assets from third-party services to display posters and visual content. These services may log standard technical requests (such as IP address) according to their own policies.

Google AdMob is used to serve advertisements. We do not send your saved favorites, search history, or app preferences to advertising partners as identifiable user profiles. When you use any external link or share action, that activity is handled by the respective platform — not by Zatto collecting additional data from you.

8. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics or cross-app tracking services within Zatto.

Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use identifiers permitted by your device and Android settings to measure ad performance. We do not build personal profiles about you based on your in-app activity beyond what is required for ad delivery through AdMob.

9. Network and Permissions

The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:

Internet access — required for loading poster images, fetching content resources, and displaying advertisements through Google AdMob

Network state — used to check connectivity before network requests

Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads in line with your device settings

We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.

Your locally saved favorites and app data remain on your device during normal app use.

10. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your saved favorites and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.

App preferences are stored using DataStore on your device. You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your device settings.

11. Children's Privacy

This app is intended for users who want to discover entertainment content and guides. It is designed as a discovery utility and does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:

Settings → Apps → Zatto → Storage → Clear storage

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored favorites, search history, and app preferences from the app's private storage area.

13. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
