The conference is also intended to draw attention to the new challenges faced by organizations and public administration after the crisis.
1. Social responsibility in business.
There are many ways of talking about corporate social responsibility, emphasizing various aspects. Business contributes to the implementation of the sustainable development goals, which become a determinant of the implementation of the economic, social and environmental dimensions In practice social responsibility is helpful in achieving these goals. This means, on the one hand, the obligation for business to take actions that will not be socially harmful, on the other - emphasizing the creative role of business in creating social standards. Socially responsible business is focused on its stakeholders, i.e. entities and groups that are related to the activities of companies and have an impact on the production process or business activities. The discussions on the purpose of the business and the functions performed by the business are becoming a serious international problem.
2. Intercultural communication.
Contemporary organizations have to deal with multiculturalism within the organization. Knowledge and the ability to understand the role of culture in the functioning of organizational units and communication between team members coming from different cultures becomes one of the major challenges of a modern organization. The essence of managing in such a heterogeneous organization is finding the best way to combine the diversity resulting from different behavior of employees.
3. Innovation, leadership and knowledge management.
In many sectors of economic life, innovation is nowadays the basic area of competition, bringing more benefits than price or cost competition. In a complex, digital and dispersed environment, effective leadership becomes a prerequisite for success, and knowledge management processes become a key area of interest for managers of modern organizations.
4. Management and information technologies.
Information is a key resource. Knowing "what", "how" or "when" should be a starting point to acquiring appropriate human, technical or financial resources from the point of view of the objectives of the organization. At the same time, there is more and more information, which is disordered and scattered in an uncertain and difficult to predict environment. Information technologies are an indispensable element of any system, regardless of their specificity (business, social, environmental). This is a huge challenge for modern management..
5. Labor market challenges.
Increasing global growth to provide better living standards and high-quality jobs for people around the world should be a priority for authorities, entrepreneurs and citizens.
Jobs, the employment relationship and inequalities are the three main challenges of the labor market that must be protected during and after the crisis. In addition, we are facing the long-term challenges such as demography, social protection, migration, the green economy and more.
6. Management in public administration facing social, economic and technological changes.
The increasing participation of public administration in various spheres of life as well as the dynamically changing socio-economic and technological environment determine the necessity to modify the current methods of operation of public administration. Ensuring the effectiveness in achieving organization’s goals requires taking a number of coordinated legal, organizational and technical actions in the area of management. The implementation of modern management systems in the public sphere should be consistent with the specificity of the administration's activities, including its service role towards the society, and should take into account the need to perform public tasks to a degree that meets the expectations of the recipients of the administration's activities. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the adaptation of modern management methods to legally defined goals and tasks of public administration, both in terms of the whole system and at the office level.
