ZANISH is a combination of the founders' names - Suzan and Ishimwe. ZAN represents the last three letters of Suzan and ISH stands for the first three letters of Ishimwe. Suzan and Ishimwe first met in college where they were both majoring in Communications with a concentration in Business. It was not only that they were classmates but also close friends. In fact, the idea of ZANISH came from one of the classes that they took together.
They want to ensure that people in their community look smart physically because they believe that for us to think clearly, we need to be smart and organized on the outside. You can't have organized thoughts from a body that is covered with shabby clothes.
Ishimwe Cedrick is a young passionate individual who is dedicated to bringing change in his community through communications - specifically story-telling. He believes that people can tell their stories in different ways. For him, he chose Fashion to tell his stories.
Suzan Nafisa is an interesting individual who lights up the room with her irrestable sense of humor. She is also a people-oriented person from South Sudan who is very passionate about communicatons. Fashion is the best way to express her love for people. She says: "I wouldn't let the person I love look shabby. I express my love for people by dressing them smartly."
