Updates from Zandy!
In recognition of winning the Heumann-Armstrong Award, Zandy was invited by the U.S. Department of Education to speak about challenges that students with disabilities face in education as the U.S. Department of Education revises Section 504 of the Rehabiliation Act of 1973.
Zandy was invited by Hopkins' Life Design Lab to speak at their annual StorySlam event where students share their stories of reflection and transformation. She shared her story of transitioning into a role as a scientist and an advocate
Zandy spoke about the lack of regulations surrounding social media accessibility and policy solutions for addressing this issue to the Colorado governor, Department of Labor policy advisors, and state policymakers from Oregon and Arizona
Zandy spoke with members of Hopkins Sci Comm on how to make public scientific communication more accessible for all!

Zandy met the Clinton Family at the 2022 Clinton Global Initiative University Summit and spoke with them about her work in advancing digital accessibility and got to ask them a question!
