Thesis: Energy Optimization of Cold Rooms Through Phase Change Material (PCM) Integration
– Started doctoral research at Moulay Ismail University with an initial focus on PCM applications
– Conducted preliminary literature review and experimental design during COVID-19 restrictions
– Successfully applied for the PHC Toubkal international exchange program (2022)
– Developed research methodology and experimental protocols for PCM characterization
– Designed and synthesized novel PCMs for Cold Thermal Energy Storage (CTES)
– Characterized thermophysical properties using DSC and hot-wire techniques
– Development of dynamic refrigerated warehouse (integrated with PCM) & food product models
– Published findings in journals and presented at conferences (2 Journal papers & 2 Conference papers)
