❰❰ Biographical Sketch ❱❱

Dr. Zakaria Mansouri is a research fellow at the University of Nottingham in the Gas Turbine and Transmissions Research Centre (G2TRC). He was consultant in Mechanical Engineering & Energy Engineering fields for industrial R&D projects at Abylsen STRA, a European Engineering & Technology consulting group. Recently, he accomplished a one-year consulting mission at GE Renewable Energy Hydro Solutions in Grenoble as CFD and turbomachinery expert. Dr. Zakaria received his doctorate from the University of Laghouat in Algeria in collaboration with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) ICARE laboratory in 2016.

Prior to starting the consulting career, Dr. Zakaria was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for two years in the Institute of Combustion Aerothermal Reactivity and Environment (ICARE) Orléans and then the Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) Grenoble. During this experience he was involved in several funded and industrial researches with funds from €50k to €2.5M. His research interests concern the applied simulation of turbulent flows and heat transfer to turbomachines, burners, heat exchangers and micro-combustors. He has several years of experience in using ANSYS CFD and pre/post-treatment products (i.e. Fluent, CFX, ICEM, Meshing, Spaceclaim, CFD-Post) with significant skills in hybrid RANS/LES methods. Dr. Zakaria had also a teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate levels at different universities with a focus on fluid dynamics, turbulence and combustion.
