What ARE 2D SHAPES?
A 2D (two-dimensional) shape can be defined as a plane figure that can be drawn on a flat surface. It has only two dimensions - length and width, with no thickness or depth. Some of the basic 2D shapes are rectangle, pentagon, quadrilateral, circle, triangles, square, octagon, and hexagon.
How can we apply them in our lives?
It's often used to represent objects in the real world, such as doors or windows. In addition to these common 2D shapes, there are also a variety of polygons everyone should know. These include pentagons (5 sides), octagons (8 sides), and decagons (10 sides).
