I am an Assistant Professor (CLTA) in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto, where I also completed my PhD in 2024.
I work primarily in the areas of Philosophy of Mind and Epistemology. In my doctoral thesis, I developed a transcendental argument for the conclusion that we have direct, phenomenological grasp of validity in order to count as reasoners. In future work, I plan to continue working on the metaphysics and phenomenology of inference.

I also do work in the Philosophy of Biology, and am currently working on a project on the metaphysics of natural selection. In addition, I have published a paper on an argument against materialism raised by Plotinus (here).
