Hi! My name is Zaile.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Healthcare Management Initiative at INSEAD, working with Prof. Stephen E. Chick. I obtained my PhD in Management Science from Fudan University, China, under the supervision of Prof. L. Jeff Hong. Before my PhD, I received a BSc in Information Management & Information Systems from Chongqing University, China, and studied at the University of British Columbia and National Taiwan University.
My recent research focuses on healthcare management, with a particular interest in improving the healthcare innovation pipeline through adaptive clinical trial design, value-based clinical trials, and precision medicine. Methodologically, I work on data-driven selection decisions under uncertainty, including sequential learning and simulation optimization (ranking and selection/pure exploration). I am also exploring the use of AI and large language models in these areas.
