My Profile:

L.Z. "Zack" Florence

Overview

My name is L. Zack Florence. I live on Vancouver Island, British Columbia (BC), Canada. Since 1988 I have largely been active in the design and analysis of environmental research studies, the evaluation of long-term monitoring networks and reviewing animal bioethics studies and consulting on research design and sampling . Interspersed have been sessional teaching contracts in Alberta and BC. Between 1999 and 2013 I contracted jobs as a sole-proprietorship: Zack Florence Consulting Services, first working from Alberta, and then, British Columbia. I call myself semi-retired because I continue to look for ways to study the world in which we live.

Current Activities

During the past 5 years I write and occasionally post my work on MEDIUM: https://zack-florence.medium.com/

I have served on three bioethics committees: I strongly believe in the 3R philosophy

I have continued to write and share my ideas regarding research protocol and experimental design.
