I am a PhD student at the University of Washington in the Department of Sociology. You can find more information about my work there on our Department Website.
My research interests lie in examining online social movements in the United States. I am a quantitative researcher who utilizes network science and text analysis methods and I tend to focus on political radicalization and modern conspiracy theories as objects of analysis.
I am actively engaged in a variety of scholarship. My dissertation will look at the evolution of Qanon after 1/6/21 and how it's ideas have spread to the American mainstream. My Masters Thesis examined the quarantine of r/The_Donald using network methods. You can see more of my work in the Research Tab or on my Google Scholar profile.
Before starting graduate school I worked as a Research Analyst at the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research. There I designed and studied an integrated data system to analyze intergenerational poverty in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Prior to my work at Upjohn I completed a BA in Criminal Justice with an Additional Major in Arabic from Michigan State University. I was also a graduate of the second cohort of the Social Science Scholars Program from the College of Social Science at Michigan State.
