Hi! I'm Zachary Richardson, a Narrative and Level Designer who studied Game Design at Sheridan College. My preferred genres of games are FPS, Platformers, and RPGs, all of which I'd like to create narrative-driven games in. Outside of games, I try to stay active by fishing, going on walks, and spending as much time in nature as possible. A lot of my hobbies outside of the video games sphere, such as Magic: The Gathering, F1, and Movies (especially superhero films), tend to affect my work greatly, and I enjoy working within existing franchises; however, I am always ready to put out my own ideas.
I've always been a big fan of literature, especially during high school, when it was rare to find me without a book; this has since led me to learn many core skills in narrative structure and how to create what I want from narrative stories. I want to use my experience from growing up in New Brunswick and bring it into the stories I create. I think my short story Lady of the River is a good example of using my upbringing to influence my work.
I have experience with narrative documentation, planning, and creating narrative games in several different engines such as Unity, Godot, UEFN, and Twine. For engines and tools I'm less experienced with, I always make sure to put in the effort to learn them to a level where I can make effective use of them.
