Overview:
My name is Zachary James Hirschman. As a teacher, students can refer to me as Mr. Hirschman or just Hirschman. I was born and raised near St. Paul, Nebraska. I grew up on my family farm between St. Paul and St. Libory. My family has raised Herefords for four generations. I found my love for agriculture throughout high school, taking Ag Classes, participating in FFA, and working hard in my SAE. A big inspiration to be an Ag teacher was my own in high school, Mr. Bowder. Also, all of my family have either been farmers or teachers, so some might say I combined them. The Lord has called me to be an Ag teacher thus far, and I have enjoyed it very much.
I attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and major in Agricultural Education (yep, you guessed it). I found my love for Nebraska in Lincoln, both rural and urban (less urban though). Classes are down the list of priorities, though. I spend most of my time at the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center, in the Engler Entrepreneurship Program Space, or the ALEC Department. I have made such great friendships and connections in college, and I thank the Lord for that.
Finally, my Catholic faith and love of God are the number one things in my life. I strive to trust in Him in everything I do. He has called me to give back (like so many others have given to me) and share His love with all the people in my life.
Please feel free to ask me questions about my life. I am pretty much an open book. I have experienced some things, but I am learning and discerning by the minute as well.
