Welcome to my new homepage! I am a professor and Department Chair of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) at the City College of the City University of New York (CUNY). My research focuses on satellite remote sensing of clouds and convection, using satellite observations for studying convective dynamics and to develop long-term, global storm databases. I also participate in airborne field campaigns, flying in and around convective storms to study convective transport of trace gases.

At CUNY, I teach both undergraduate and graduate classes in Atmospheric Sciences, satellite remote sensing, and statistical analysis in Earth Sciences.  As Department Chair, I oversee the operation of EAS and lead the department's development.
